COVID-19 Update, March 24 2020:
We remain open during the provincial state of emergency. Veterinary clinics and our suppliers have been designated as essential services. Our regular hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 12noon.
COVID-19 Update, March 20 2020:
We have started to receive some food orders from our distributor but they are still estimating a delay of 7-10 business days as they deal with the unprecedented volume of orders. At this time they are not experiencing shortages, they are just inundated with orders.
We will call you as soon as your food is ready for pick up – please do not call us unless you are going to run out of food in the next 7 days.
COVID-19 Update, March 19 2020:
Dear Mountain Animal Hospital clients,
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we have implemented several changes within our hospital for the safety of our clients, our patients, and our staff.
We remain committed to staying open and providing necessary medical care to all of our patients. Please advise us if:
- You have travelled outside Canada in the past 14 days
- You have experienced any fever, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, or fatigue
- You have been in contact with anyone who is in self-quarantine or who has tested positive for COVID-19
If you have any of the above risk factors and have an upcoming non-urgent appointment, we ask that you call us to reschedule.
If you have any of the above risk factors and your pet requires urgent care, we will make accommodations to see your pet safely.
On the recommendation of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and Ontario Veterinary College we will be operating as a “closed-door” clinic with curbside pickup/delivery. We ask that on arrival you stay in your vehicle and use your cell phone to call our front desk. Our staff will bring your pet into the clinic and the doctor will conduct your appointment over the phone. Similarly, medication and food orders will be brought to your vehicle.
Due to increased demand, our suppliers are experiencing delays in fulfilling orders. Medication orders are being prioritized and food orders may be delayed. If you are in urgent need of medications or food, please let us know.
We understand these new protocols may be confusing and inconvenient and we thank you for your patience and cooperation as we attempt to do our part in “flattening the curve”!
