It’s not just birds that need to perch to get a good view of what’s going on! If you havn’t already noticed, cats LOVE to perch! Observe your own cats, and you’ll notice that they love to sit up on the back of couches, window sills and scratching posts to get a good view of thier surroundings. In fact, cats who have lots of perches available at home are usually happier and have lower anxiety levels than cats without these resources. Cats are natually curious so they like to know what’s happening around them. Also, if there are other cats in the home they feel less threatened when they can sit on top of something and don’t feel cornered in.
